New episode of Exvangelical: Katy Scoggin, director of Flood.

It’s been nearly 5 months since my last episode of Exvangelical, but I am very happy to release this interview with Katy Scoggin, director of the documentary Flood. It’s available on YouTube and all podcast platforms.

The documentary offers a very intimate look at Katy‘s family dynamics, as she returns home to help her parents prepare for a cross-country move. It depicts how she and other members of her family relate to her father, the lone remaining evangelical in the family steadfastly committed to his creationist beliefs (among others).

The documentary will resonate with anyone who grew up with similar dynamics. In this conversation, we talk about some of the moments that stood out most to me, and explored what it was like to release something this vulnerable to the public. I hope you enjoy it.
