The Exvangelical podcast (& more!) will return in 2026.
(A brief look back, and a quick glance ahead.)
2025 was a momentous year, but not in the ways I expected. (It was most certainly not the sort of momentous year that converts easily or quickly into content.) I have to resort to metaphor here: I had expected that this year might be a fruit-bearing year, and instead it was the sort of year with steady, substantive growth underground--not visible, but absolutely necessary.
This is not a full retrospective, 2025 Wrapped-style post. It's a simple signpost.
I am thrilled and grateful for this opportunity.
One more thing I want to point to is the new site that you're reading this on: I've moved off Substack and will be posting to blakechastain.com. You can find an introductory post here:

The logic behind why I moved off Substack is not unique or novel, and I may post about the mix of ethical and technical reasons for doing so later, for those that are interested in such things.
Meanwhile, I plan to use the remainder of the year to rest, be present with my family, and prepare for 2026. I will be resuming production of Exvangelical and Let's Talk About Text, as well as seeking interviews with authors across a variety of genres for my show The Good Books very soon.
All that content will be found across various platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and Instagram/TikTok, but everything will be posted here as well.
See you all in 2026.
